Joshua J. Fox is a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Group and is head of the Real Estate, Lodging and Leisure Investment Banking. He has more than 20 years of experience as an investment banker and lawyer providing advice on a wide range of topics including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, financial restructuring, strategic alternatives, deal negotiation and execution to public corporations, privately held companies, family businesses, lenders, investors, and portfolio companies of private equity funds.

Josh’s recent transactions include the financing of both Spartan Race and Red Mountain Resort, the refinancing of Big Sky Resort, the restructuring of Suncadia Resort, the sale-leaseback of Camelback Ski Resort and the construction financing of an adjacent 500 room indoor waterpark hotel, the sale of Copper Mountain Ski Area, and the sale-leaseback of Almar Marinas.

Prior to joining Stout, Josh co-founded Underwood, Fox & McClintock, a boutique investment bank and strategic advisory firm specializing in advising owners of operating real estate in mergers and acquisitions, capital raises, and complex structuring. Earlier, he was a Director of Investment Banking at Houlihan Lokey’s Real Estate Strategic Advisory Group focusing on merger and acquisition transactions, equity financings, debt financings, and corporate and asset level restructurings. Earlier in his career, Josh was the President of Burlington Capital Markets Inc., where he was the senior non-founder executive for a 90 person institutional agency-based broker dealer and created and executed new business initiatives which grew revenue from approximately $30 million to $40 million. Josh was also a Vice President of Investment banking at Merrill Lynch and began his career as an attorney at Skadden.
